Wildlife Protection and Mitigation Plans

Often required to satisfy planning conditions, Wildlife Protection and Management Plans detail the measures required to protect any ecological features on or near to the site during the propsoed work, and describes the mitigiation required. The need often arises following the findiings of a Preliminary Ecologial Appraisal, and / or protected species surveys, where specific issues have been highlighted.

Where approiate, enhancement measures are also often included, to demonstrate compliance with the National Planning Policy Framework 2012 and the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act (2006) which require that development proposals should seek to incorporate measures to further the conservation of protected species and biodiversity in general.
